On April 13-15th we competed at SVSU on the Dow Field at the Michigan FIRST State Championship. It was an incredible few days competing with some of the top teams in the state. 160 Michigan teams out of 451 total were qualified to compete for the State Championship title. Teams were separated onto 4 fields and the winners from those four went on to compete for the title. After 12 qualification matches, we ended up on the 6th seed alliance with alliance partners, Team 67 - H.O.T. (captain) and Team 2960 - Automation Nation. Barreling through the playoffs all the way to the finals only to be taken down by the number 1 seed alliance (Teams 33, 2834 & 469) who went on to win the title of State Champs. We finished as Event Finalists on the Dow Field, taking home another silver medal this season. View our matches HERE. Honored to win the Creativity Award for our robot which "Celebrates creativity in design, use of component, or strategy of play" and acknowledged our teams' unique use of sensors and controls. Our season so far with 2 District Events and the State Championship has left us ranked 28th in the state out of 451 teams and qualified us to compete in the FIRST World Championship in St. Louis Missouri on April 26-29th. An incredible season that shows the strength of our team as a whole. Can't wait for Worlds! HUGE thanks to our support team of Partners, Sponsors and Donors. Without you we could not do what we do!
