As FIRST declares...we're MORE than robots!
Sure, we build robots and learn valuable skills while doing so like engineering, electronics, programming, computer animated design and using different machines and tools to help us, but there's much more to being on a robotics team! What else do we do?
There's game strategy, scouting other teams during competitions, photography at events and creating media for our team, promoting our team and FIRST during community events, teaching and mentoring younger kids about robotics, organizing and helping with fundraisers, safety management, helping create team shirts, pins, thanks yous, trophies and awards, being a part of the pit crew during competitions to help things run smoothly and more! Above all, even though our goal is always to build the best robot we can for the season and once again compete at the World Championship level, we want our team to be a fun experience as much as it is a learning one. Our cohesiveness as a group is what makes us a winning team! |
