What we've been up to and upcoming events!

Lots of things happening at the Chimera Nest! 
During the off season is a perfect time to sharpen our skills and train new members.  CAD, programming and learning how to use the machines are just a few of the things we've been practicing lately.  
Working on building a VEX robot is a nice shift in gears also. Gets the creative and engineering thoughts flowing!

Our last event with this year's robot happens this weekend at Kettering University. The annual "Kettering Kickoff" is a fun off season event we are excited to be a part of. The game this year, Stronghold, was a really fun one to play and we're a little sad to see it go! So going at it one last time is something we're all looking forward to!
It's been an amazing year for us which started with a district event at Kettering and will now close with one there as well.  We put a lot into our robot this season and he (Rocky) will be one we treasure! 

Looking forward to seeing the other FRC teams again for some fun and competition, as well as our mentors (Jon & Matt) playing in the mentor matches on Friday! It will be amusing for the kids to watch the adults!

We proud to have her as one of our own!

RUN FOR ROBOTS 5K RUN/WALK FUNDRAISER!!! 

We are planning a 5K run/walk to raise money for our team. It will take place October 15th at 5:00pm in Rowden Park in Lapeer.
