Now that the excitement of the season is over and have gone through some withdrawals from everything that came with it, we are shifting our focus to other areas. We have started working on building a robot for VEX Robotics Competition. It's on a smaller scale than FRC, but still challenging and keeps our skills and minds sharp! This year's game is called Starstruck. Info here. During these months and building for VEX, we also take time for each student to go over every area of things we do, like programming, CAD, metal work and other. Our annual event, ROBO-CON is also coming up soon. It's a free event that along with Team 5460 Strike Zone, we put on every year to promote the world of robotics to the community. This year will include a full size FRC Stronghold field where other teams can come and enjoy it one more time! It's a festival of robotics and STEM learning. It's a fun-filled day for every and free to attend! For more information visit the ROBO-CON website: www.mirobocon.com/ It's also time for us to focus on fundraising for off season events and next year's build season. Since we are a free-to-play team, we count on the generous contributions from sponsors and donations. It takes a lot to run a robotics team and attend all the competitions! Working on our VEX robot for this season.
